ELM Agency – How Does It Work?

If you are wanting to book a music act for your event, here is a little run down of how it normally works.

Enquiry & Questions

First of all, you can enquire either via email , phone or through our social media channels.

We will come back to you very quickly, usually with a few follow up questions so that we can help you as efficiently as possible. These questions would usually include :- how many guests may be at your event, which venue you are using or more specific questions.

Round One of Suggestions

We will then hand pick who we think is most suitable, from our wonderful roster of acts, check their availability and send you some suggestions. 

Here come your first round of suggested acts. You will be provided with all the info you need including an overview of the act, line-up choices, set time options, clips of them performing, testimonials and cost.

Feedback

At this point, we may have got it spot on first time, or you may feel that the acts we have sent aren’t quite the right fit. In which case, we will send you some more options. This part of the process, really can go on as long as needs, until you are totally happy and secure in who we have chosen. We want you to feel super excited about the act you have booked.

It’s worth noting at this point, that of course, occasionally – you might ask us for something we don’t supply. We do however, have some very talented friends and partners who we can direct you to, in those cases.

Further Suggestions or Finalising Chosen Act

At this point, we will either be sending you more act suggestions or discussing the finer details of your event for the act you have settled on. We will also be confirming the logistics for the event day, particularly with the venue and things like song choices and PA requirements.

Digital Contract & Deposit

Once you are sure, and we have everything in place, we will create a digital contract for you to review and then sign online. You will also receive an invoice for your 50% deposit . (Unless your event date is within one month or we have agreed otherwise).

Quiet Time

Generally, between the point of booking and the month before, there will be some quiet time in communication. Of course, we are always here if a questions pops up, but usually we would have ironed out everything we need to know, and then we would resume the final planning steps about one month before.

Final Balance & Confirmation

Your final balance will be due one month before your event, and this is where we get into the nitty gritty and make sure that timelines are updated (they may have changed), that the venue know exactly what the acts might need and that you are all sorted with song choices / dress code ; and much more!

And then, most importantly of all, it’s time for your wonderful event! Have a ball, and please do send us any photos or videos; we always love to see!
